ZielValk265 • 1y ago As an ex-Hindu from a religious Hindu family, I can 100% guarantee that most Hindus, including religious ones, have very little idea of actual Hindu theology (any of the 6 major schools) or soterology, or care for that matter. Like many of the other comments have said, Hinduism is just a catch-all for the native, often conflicting, ritualistic and social practices of South Asian cultures pre-Islam (and even then, some places like the Bengal for instance have very blatant Islamic influence due to syncretism). Hindus, when following their religion, do not think of it through a logical lens, but rather as a cultural/social obligation and a definition of their ethnic origin. If you try asking them deep questions about their faith, they usually don’t have an answer because it is cultural Deism, not an actual concrete Faith or Personal Relationship with their so-called deities. You can’t argue with these people about theological fallacies or inconsistencies because they simply don’t care. It’s just tribalism at its most blatant.
More_Neat_9599 • 1y ago There’s not much serious apologetics, because it’s kind of ridiculous. Some of them don’t think there is objective truth. Or that the earth is in three elephants, that stand on a turtle. Also, they believe in Idontknowhomany deities.
So, I don’t know much about Hinduism, but it just seems like another pagan-type religion that formed out of myths.

But not all Hindus believe in 330000000 Gods and all that other dumb elephant-turtle-fish hybrid stuff. Some Hindus have more philosophically advanced views; they could for example be monotheist and believe all the different deities are manifestations of the same essence (Brahman), etc. So it depends on which Hindu we talk to.
God bless you!
